Owen late score give United the win against Malaysia XI

It is a great match. Packed with action from end to end and Owen debut goal for United end the contest as United edge Malaysia XI 3-2 at Stadium Bukit Jalil today in front of 90,000 strong fans.
It is like a fiesta in Bukit Jalil where fans flock in as early as 1pm to the stadium just to make sure they get the best spot inside the stadium.
Amazing atmosphere inside the stadium where 90,000 fans cheering the players from both teams when they walk in to the pitch.
United start strongly with the new spearhead look attack with the likes of Berbatov-Rooney-Nani testing Malaysia defence early on. Berbatov chip from outside the box manage to stir away by Farizal, Malaysia goalkeeper who have a great form tonight.
In the 9th minutes, a cross from right by Gibson cleared by Norhafiz but straight back to Gibson who second time cross found Berbatov who make a first time volley paired away by Farizal, only to let Rooney at the back post poke in the the opening goal. Thunderous applause from the crowds.
Amri Yahyah and Azuan Adha try Van Der Sar from outside the box but to no avail.
Then from quick counter attack in the 27th minutes, Rooney hold the ball from the left just to wait for Nani to come in to box before crisp passing give Nani easily goal past Farizal. It looks down and dusted for Malaysia but it soon changed.
With most of the possession held by United, Malaysia players found it very hard to put an attack until in the dying minutes of first half where a long goal kick from Farizal flight off Evra and found Amri who control it and gave a good volley from outside the box and past out of position Van der Sar. The stadium roared with joy from the home fans as the first half ended United 2 – 1 Malaysia.
The second half, Malaysia came out early and within 3 minutes after restart, a misjudged passing back by Ben Foster gave Amri Yahyah a chance to race out Foster and easily tap in the equalising goal. Malaysia fans in shock of the goal and so too Sir Alex Ferguson.
Several changes been made by both team and Ferguson bring in Owen as replacement of Rooney in 70th minutes that soon to be deciding the match.
Malaysia youngsters control the midfield and put some good counter-attack but their inexperience cause them dearly.
Then a great through ball passing by Giggs to on rushing Macheda been blocked by Farizal yet again but Owen who is lurking capitalize it when he place it nicely to bottom right side goal to give United the lead with 5 minutes to play.
Malaysia try to get the equaliser but United defence stand firm and its all ended to this exciting match.
Congratulations to both team for giving this feisty match to Malaysia fans and also some fans from Singapore and Thailand. Proud of you Malaysia!
p/s: Great will and determination showed from Malaysia team! Thumbs up! Maybe football in Malaysia still have hope for revival.
